Son : "I will choose my own bride!"
Father : "But the girl is Bill Gate’s daughter."

Next - Father approaches Bill Gates.
Father : "I have a husband for your daughter."
Bill Gates : "But my daughter is too young to marry!"
Father : "But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank."
Bill Gates : "Ah, in that case...ok"
Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.
Father : "I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president."
President : "But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!"
Father : "But this young man is Bill Gate’s son-in-law."
President : "Ah, in that case...ok"

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on an island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him and everyday he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed to come. Exhausted he eventually managed to build a hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements and store his few possessions. But then one day after scavenging for food he came home only to see his hut in flames and smoke tolling to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger. "God how could you do this to me?" he cried. Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man. "We saw your smoke signal, " they replied. It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn't loose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of suffering and pain. Remember when your hut is burning to the ground it just maybe a smoke signal that summons the grace of God. For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it. You say: " Its impossible" God says: " All things are possible"You say: " I can't go on " God says: " My grace is sufficient “You say: " I cant figure things out" God says: " I will direct your steps”You say: " I can't do it " God says: " You can do all things”You say: " I can't forgive myself " God says: " I will forgive you”You say: " I'm afraid" God says: " I have not given you a spirit of fear”You say: " I'm always worried and frustrated" God says: " Cast all your cares on ME”You say: " I don’t have enough faith" God says: I've given everyone a measure of faith “
